VENTURE Holidays has taken another a step in its national expansion by introducing a new company logo to replace the one it has carried for more than 30 years.

Managing director Robert Mackay said that the colour gave the brand continuity with the past but it needed up-dating to something more contemporary.

He added, "The new logo will be used across all new brochures, stationery, promotional signage and all other collateral marketing material".

"It is part of our overall forward movement to portray a new identity as part of our drive to become a genuine nationally-oriented wholesaler".

Adelaide-based Venture Holidays is the Australian sales agent for UK-based adventure wholesalers Explore Worldwide.

The new alliance that began on the 1st of April, takes over from the previous partnership with Adventure World, and sees Venture Holidays get behind the full Explore Worldwide offering of 450 itineraries in 120 countries.

"When it comes to getting off the traditional tourist track it's impossible to beat them," said Robert Mackay Venture Holidays Managing Director.

"Age is not an issue as all the trips are within the capabilities of people who enjoy good health and are reasonably active. About half are couples or friends travelling together, and the remainder travel solo."

While there are no single's supplements for EXPLORE! products if travellers are willing to share a room, those who'd like a room to themselves are usually given the option of paying extra if they wish.

Venture Holidays Is One Brand Again

The recent purchase of the Venture Holidays Australia trademark from Flight Centre by Venture Holidays SA/NT, for areas where it was not already owned, brings great business opportunities, according to Managing Director Robert Mackay.

He said that the move provided further opportunity for his Adelaide-based company to continue its growth into the eastern seaboard market.

The purchase brings the popular Venture brand, one of Australia's oldest wholesale names, under the one roof and single ownership for the first time.

Mr Mackay said the brand had been revitalized in SA and NT over the last couple of years, with the traditional travel product blended with modern new-look brochures.

"We have used the period of the recent business turndown to conduct more travel agent educational activities and further enhance our staff's product knowledge with numerous destination familiarization tours.

"It has been a tough year for travel but it has brought opportunities which saw us release new products to Fiji and the Arabian Gulf destinations of Oman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar."

This brings the Venture portfolio of brochures to 11, adding to America & Hawaii, Europe & Britain, Canada & Alaska, Bali & Lombok, Malaysia & Borneo, Singapore, Thailand, China, Hong Kong & Macau, Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia.

Mr Mackay is also excited also about the release of two new brochures for Turkey and Morocco during 2010.
